I don’t know why I just downloaded it now, but I swear I should’ve downloaded the Meralco app as soon as it came out. I have many issues having to wait for the paper bill to settle my account. Living in a condo, most of the time, our mail gets stuck at the mailbox or with the guard so by the time we open our bills, they are either nearly approaching deadline or their due date have already passed.
Most of the time, when we receive our Meralco bill, it comes with a disconnection notice already! That’s how delayed we get our mail.
Thankfully, I remembered watching a feature during the evening news about the Meralco app so I decided to get it on my phone.
You guys, you need to download it. It makes things so much easier for users because:
It gives an overview of your account
You will then need to provide your email, preferred password, and mobile number. After these are all set, you will receive a confirmation link in the email you provided. Click the link to verify your account and you’re all set!
Go to Meralco Mobile and you will find your account information.
Aside from viewing your account information, Meralco Mobile lets you report an outage or submit a concern. You can check your monthly consumption as well as receive energy efficient tips.
It notifies you of due dates and lets you pay within the app
If you have anything due, you’ll see the full amount when you click Overview in the menu. This shows you the total amount and due date. Below that information, there’s a button that says Pay Now. If you wish to pay, just click that button and you will find all your options to pay.
There are four ways to pay:
- Credit Card
- Debit Card
- Prepaid Card (Gcash)
- Prepaid Card (Smart Money, Paymaya)
Note that there is a small fee if you pay via the app and it applies to all payment methods.
From the mobile app, you also get an overview of paid and unpaid bills so in case there are notices of missed payments, you can refer to the app to double check.
Good job, Meralco!
