My Syphon Coffee Workshop Experience at Cooko Culinary and Barista Academy

Who here loves coffee? I’m a coffee lover, but I never really thought about making my own coffee. Funny, isn’t it? I usually just go to my favorite cafes and order my favorite brews from them. It was only recently that I decided to try learning how to brew my own cup so my husband and I can enjoy cafe-style coffee at home. Since one of our favorites is the syphon-brewed coffee of Lido, I signed up for Cooko Culinary and Barista Academy’s Syphon Coffee Workshop.

Three Lessons Learned After Becoming a Mom of 3

I remember my transition from having just one child to having two as a glorious phase. Really, I felt like I was a parenting expert! My first two are around 18 months apart and the transition was pretty easy. My eldest is quite independent so I didn’t have a problem with clinginess when her brother came along. She just did her own thing. My second was such an easy baby–no problems with breastfeeding, no problems with sleeping. He was a generally happy baby. But, becoming a mom of 3 was an entirely new ballgame. Our third definitely kept my ego in check. Parenting expert? Think again, lady. (more…)

Dive Into Serenity in Acea Subic Bay

Towards the end of 2018, I was down in the dumps physically and emotionally. The holidays can be a stressful time especially if you’re planning it for a large group. If there’s one thing I learned from last Christmas, it’s that I’m not great with DIY vacations for big groups and it’s better to leave the vacation planning to experts. I mean, I’m okay planning for our family of five, but not for a group of 20 or so. It drained me dry and it affected me big time. I had to give myself time to recharge throughout the start of the year and aside from self-care, I decided it would be great to have a chill vacation.
