I was working on my laptop while the kids were playing with their stuffed animals when I heard the Princess sing these lines to the Little Man:

Symbiotic! We are symbiotic friends!

Did she just say symbiotic? My goodness, that’s a big word for a 2-year old! I don’t recall teaching this word to her so I asked her where she heard it from. “Go! Diego, go!” she excitedly answered.

Wow. My kid just said ‘symbiotic’ and she learned it from watching tv! This only goes to show that children absorb what they see on tv. We’re lucky because the Princess learned a new educational term. Imagine if she saw a movie that is not intended for children and caught a word from there!
