We’re having a girl!

We have been waiting for this moment for the longest time. Arjay and I always told ourselves that whatever the gender is, we’ll be happy… but really, we were both secretly hoping for our little angel to be a girl. Girls are just so fun to dress up! Haha! So, when we were called for the ultrasound, we couldn’t help but feel a wee bit nervous – well, a little more than a wee bit.

The sonologist started by showing us the head and the body of our precious angel. The size is just right, which is good. Then, she checked the gender. I initially thought it was a boy since I saw something poking out (hehe), but the sonologist said she’s 100% girl. I tried to contain my reaction, but Arjay failed to contain his. He just had to keep repeating, “It’s a girl?!” with a huge smile on his face.

After the gender verification, the sonologist showed our baby in 4D. It brought so much joy to us seeing her cute button nose, her lips that seemed to be smiling and one of her hands rubbing against her eye. It looked like she had just woken up from a deep slumber when we peeked into her temporary home. Eventually, though, she started kicking and moving around… seemingly trying to say, “Mommy, Daddy! Look at me!”

I can’t believe we’re actually having a baby. The last time we saw our little one was when she was just 10 weeks old. Now look at her! She’s a person already! Seeing her for the first time made us even more excited. Roughly three more months to go and we can finally hold her little fingers and cradle her in our arms.
