Underwater Adventure at Manila Ocean Park

It’s the last Travel Tuesday of 2013! I know I missed a lot in the past months — sorry for that. Traveling has to be put off most of the time since it’s difficult to go around with two little ones. And, there’s the budget issue because we just moved to a new house.

Anyway, for my last Travel Tuesday post, I’d like to share with you guys our wildlife adventure at Manila Ocean Park last weekend. We brought The Princess there when she was 6 months old. I’m sure she can’t remember a thing from that visit so we brought her back… now with The Little Man.

She was more active in her second visit; so is our boy. We bought the Pacific Sky Wonder 9 Package (Promo Price: PHP900), which gave us access to all areas and shows in the park:

  • Oceanarium
  • Sea Lion Show
  • Marine Life Habitat
  • Jellies Exhibit
  • Musical Fountain Show
  • All Star Bird Show
  • Birds of Prey Kingdom
  • Penguin Talk Show
  • Trails to Antartica

Children below two feet can go inside for free. So we saved PHP900 for the Little Man! Hehe. If you want to see other packages, click here. You can also pay extra if you want closer encounter with the animals.

The Little Man really enjoyed the Sea Lion Show. As in, really enjoyed. He kept laughing and clapping his hands every time the sea lions would do tricks. It’s a good thing we got front row seats!

The Princess, on the other hand, loved the Birds of Prey Kingdom. I, too, was actually in awe at how graceful the Brahminy Kites (locally known as Lawin) fly. And since it was the Little Man’s post birthday celebration, the trainers gave us a show by throwing food right where we stood so the Lawins all flew toward us. That was quite an experience for The Minis!

We were also lucky because when we went inside the Oceanarium, the Mermaid Show was on. The Princess was SUPER happy to see real life mermaids swimming around the tunnel with fish.

Our favorite part of the park, however, has to be Trails to Antartica. We went there last, which was the best thing we did, because the cold was so calming! Although it’s smaller than we expected, it was actually pretty nice walking around the Snow Village.

Again, The Princess was overjoyed when she saw a snow man. She truly believes Olof is real. 😀 She even hugged him!

All in all, our Manila Ocean Park experience was wonderful! There were a lot of people when we went, but the staff still managed to keep everything in order so that everyone will get a chance to see all the attractions.

Moreover, Daddy A and I are super happy because we saw that The Minis really enjoyed our field trip. I think that the most important thing, right?

Have you been to Manila Ocean Park? How was your experience?
