The Write On Workshop And On Living An Inspired Life

Yesterday, I was blessed to have been part of Martine de Luna’s Write On workshop, which was held at La Creperie. I didn’t just learn about branding, but I also re-discovered so many things about myself–things that I must have forgotten while I was trying to get by (or is survive a better word to use?).

I have to say that my decision to sign up for this workshop is so timely. Aside from the fact that I love crepe (mango crepe to be specific hehe), I am also in this stage in my blogging journey (and my life as well) where I’m starting to ask, “Where am I going with this?” Blogging (and life) used to be amazing, fun, exciting… but why do I feel so exhausted just thinking about what to write/do next?

In one of Martine’s exercises for us, she asked us to create a character–our blog reader. The exercise gave me an idea of who my target audience is, but more importantly, it reminded me of my why in blogging. It reminded me of things I enjoy, but stopped doing/pursuing; of topics I love discussing, but somehow stopped writing about. It also reminded me that I should not be blogging to impress (which is probably why I feel so uncomfortable about blogging recently), but to share a bit of my life to women who may be going through the same things–good or bad.

After the workshop, Daddy A and I got a chance to hang out without the kids. That’s when I took the chance to talk to him about my thoughts and feelings about our situation. Like I mentioned, it feels like we’re just trying to get by and not living life to the fullest like we used to. He welcomed the conversation. Apparently, while waiting for me, he also did some reading on living an inspired life. Hehehe.

On our way home, we talked about how we used to live life and how we miss being so carefree. We eventually reached an agreement to start living our best life and we will do this through a dare. We named it our Happiness Project, which I will talk about in a different post. 🙂 See how powerful this workshop is? It did not just touch on my creating a brand, it also influenced my life!

SO. Expect a few changes on Mom On Duty. Aside from design tweaks, I also plan to make my content more me. While I enjoy hosting giveaways and writing reviews and how-to posts, I’d like to focus on what I love talking about most: my family and our journey to living life to the fullest.

    May effect pala, Denise? LOL!
Thanks for being at Write On, Kim! We finally met! 🙂
And here’s to living our best lives, and letting our blogs be the catalyst for that. Hope to hang with you!

The “Martine effect” is true! Even my husband says so. Lol! Nakaka-good vibes eh. It’s unbelievable- after the workshop, our attitude shifted talaga and a few days later, sobrang umikot yung situation namin from bad to super awesome. :))

I proudly call that the “Martine” effect. Hehe. That’s what I said on my post, too. She won’t teach you what to do, she will allow you to live your life… and eventually blog about it. 🙂
