The new year marks a new beginning for most of us. It’s a chance to start fresh and attempt to live better. This 2016, my promise is to be healthier by eating right and *gulp* sticking to an exercise schedule.
Have a look at the lifestyle changes we’ve made so far (and why we #LoveSNR so much)…
At the start of the new year, we’ve shifted back to brown rice instead of white rice. We also replaced our white bread with wheat bread, and replaced the kids’ chocolate cereal with Kellogg’s Red Berries (now at PHP469.95 at S&R Membership Shopping–such a deal!). The minis LOVE it! They prefer it without milk, though.
Arjay and I, on the other hand, prefer Kellogg’s Raisin Bran (priced at PHP 479.95) for breakfast. Paired with our Kellogg’s Raisin Bran is Cowhead Slim, which you can get for PHP253.25 for two cartons.
Instead of soda and sweet powdered juices, we’ve opted to drink water instead. However, for days when we crave for something sweet for snack time, we go for Del Monte’s Acai Blueberry. Did you know that Acai Berries are loaded with antioxidants, fiber and heart-healthy fats? These super berries are known to boost the immune system and increase energy levels. Although there is still no solid research, Acai Berries are also said to promote weight loss. Aside from making little changes in our diet, I’ve also started getting more exercise done during my bits of spare time. We have a gym in our condo, but since Arjay no longer works nearby, no one can watch the minis for me while I work out at the gym. So, instead of lying down while I wait for the Princess’ school day to end, I’ve started using our Zumba and Just Dance games on the Play Station. In fairness, each 20-minute set will really get you moving! And, the great thing about this is, I can exercise in our unit while the Little Man plays (or sleeps). Wala na talagang excuses not to exercise!

Just go to the nearest branch then apply for membership. 🙂 What I love about them is that they have products there that we don’t usually see in other local groceries.

I love shopping for uncommon goods at S&R Alabang, every other month i drive to alabang even if im from batangas just to hoard some of our family’s favorite! Now i get to visit S&R more often because of a nearer branch at Nuvali, Sta.Rosa Laguna. Im a hoarder of fruit juices that are not available at the local supermarkets here!
Wow! Batangas to Alabang! It’s good that a branch opened in Nuvali, right? My husband is currently assigned in Calamba so when we come visit him at his station, I also take time to drop by S&R Nuvali.

I want to love SnR kaya lang it’s tooooo far from where I live. Parang di ko kaya dumayo ng Shaw for groceries.. Hopefully magkaroon na dito sa East area 🙂
We go to the BGC branch, but yes, sana they’ll have a branch nearer to us!
We sometimes shop in SNR too to get deals on our favorite imported brands. Coz some fruit juices aren’t available in other groceries.
We do our monthly grocery at S&R as we save a lot esp if we buy those in big packages and in packs.
