Planning the Little Man’s First Birthday Party: The Initial Party Checklist

With the wedding over and our expenses settled, Daddy A and I are now getting busy with another big event in our family: the Little Man’s first birthday!

First Birthday Party Checklist

We only have about a month and a half so we are rushing the party planning a bit. BUT, first things first–an initial checklist! I created a checklist of things we need to consider before jumping into the actual party planning. We want to have something to go back to when it’s time to get suppliers and invite guests, right? Here we go…

  • Budget: Daddy A set the budget at P30,000 — a whopping P40,000 less than the Princess’ first birthday party! Favoritism, Daddy A! Favoritism!!! Haha
  • Theme: We are choosing between a Barrio Fiesta-themed party and a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory-themed one — We need help here! What would you choose?
  • Venue: We will either have the party at our house or rent our wedding venue again (because we received P15,000 worth of GCs from them as a gift so might as well use that!)
  • Number of Guests: About 60 people (adults and kids combined)
  • Invitations: c/o Daddy A

Gusto ko yung Charlie and the Chocolate-factory theme! I think it fits with the age ni baby boy Mommy Kim! pang kids and peg.

I vote Barrio Fiesta! Here are a few things you can DIY
    – Buntings/banderitas or garlands 🙂 This one has a colorful free printable baka magustuhan mo – http://ruffledblog.com/printable-alphabet-bunting/
    – Pinata shaped as “1” – cardboard, tissue paper and glue lang
    – Colorful centerpieces – maybe use your baby’s pictures as part of it too.

    Hope it helps 🙂

Oh! Thanks for all the suggestions! I love the idea of using centerpieces with the Little Man’s photos. 🙂

Pukpok palayok, pabitin at palosebo. Haha! Attire = magsasakaat simpleng bestida. 🙂
