A Paris-themed Wedding in Manila: Photos, Wedding Vendors, etc.

Parisian Wedding

I know this is long overdue, but better late than never right? Please note that all photos were taken by Imagine Nation Photography and that these are our (mine and my husband’s) property. Please do not redistribute the photos without my permission.

Our Christian wedding and reception was held at Sitio Elena, a glass garden venue located inside Valley Golf and Country Club. We chose this venue because it is perfect for our theme (Vintage Paris-inspired Wedding) and our budget.

Parisian Wedding

Arjay and I love this venue to bits because they are very flexible. When we had to reschedule our Church wedding from September 30, 2012 to October 12, 2013 because my doctor required me to go on bed rest, they didn’t think twice about granting our request. Thank you, Sitio Elena!

We got Juan Carlo for our catering. We actually booked a different caterer for our original date. But, since we had to reschedule and the first caterer was already booked on our new date, we were forced to change our caterer – and Juan Carlo came to the rescue!

Parisian Wedding

Juan Carlo delivered beyond excellent service and served the most delicious dishes. I love the food so much that I requested our coordinators to give us some time to enjoy the food. 😀 Seriously, you do not want to miss the food they serve!

I absolutely love their set up, too. It went so well with our Paris-themed wedding. They set up a mix of long and round tables covered in gold and red fabric with damask prints.

Parisian Wedding

The gold tiffany chairs with white tin pots carrying small white flowers behind each of them served as comfy seats for the guests as they witnessed our renewal of vows before God.

Parisian Wedding

Our cake was designed and baked by Sweet Solutions. It doesn’t only look good on the outside, but I swear by my taste buds that this is one of the best cakes I’ve ever tasted.

On top of the styling that Sitio Elena and Juan Carlo did, Bylagan Art Designs took everyone to Paris with our very own Eiffel Tower and Roman posts.

Parisian Wedding

Now, onto the clothes and bouquets…

My gown and the gowns of the entourage were made by Steve Balani, a local designer recommended by so many of my friends and relatives. I love that the gowns were done exactly as I wanted them at a very, very, VERY affordable price.

Parisian Wedding

Since Arjay’s suit is a special one, we had to go to Tongas for his white duck. His name plate and gold Bureau of Fire Protection badge were hand-crafted by the Suarez Brothers.

Parisian Wedding

The lady who did my hair and make up is a high school seatmate and friend who I found out, as we were preparing for the wedding, is now a hair and makeup artist. The last time I saw Justine del Rosario on Facebook, she was working in Singapore. My prayers were answered when she said she was in the Philippines and that she’d love to beautify me on my wedding day.

Parisian Wedding

Who would’ve thought that the same artist behind the likes of Pia Wurtzbach and Liza Soberano did my hair and makeup on my wedding day?! I swear, this makes me kilig every time I think about it! See who else she’s working with via her hashtag, #makeupbyjustinedelrosario.

Parisian Wedding

A wedding wouldn’t be complete without gorgeous flowers. Our love story began with a blue rose that Arjay painted for me as an 18th birthday gift, so we made sure it will be incorporated in the wedding. Our florist, Events and Tours, created a bouquet with blue roses for me and red roses for my entourage.

Aside from a comfortable and well-decorated venue and scrumptious food, we also made sure that the program will flow smoothly and that guests will enjoy what we have prepared for them. To keep everything in order and lively, we got half of our favorite radio duo to host our wedding: The Morning Rush’s Chico Garcia. He is so worth it, you guys!

Chico Garcia

We also hired a Christian band referred by our coordinators to sing songs for us during the ceremony and reception. We will surely hire Allison and the rest of the band in future events because oh my gosh they are really good and they charge a reasonable price.

Parisian Wedding

I won’t forget to mention the team that captured all moments during the wedding (and kept me cool and sane in the bridal suite): Aika, Betty, and Bliss of Imagine Nation Photography.

Imagine Nation Photography

Would you believe that all our photos are unedited? They’re really good at capturing memories–I have been convinced to take a photography workshop with them this year! That is if I get a slot. Wish me luck! 😀

Of course, we are extremely grateful to the team that helped us from beginning until end, our wedding coordinators: The Wedding Wizards. These guys make wedding preps so fun! I’m pretty sure they felt stressed and pressured while preparing with us…they’re just very good at hiding it. We cannot thank them enough for everything they did to make our dream wedding possible! And yes, Dru, we are thankful even for your Beyonce dance moves. 😀

As much as I’d like to share a photo of us with them, I have none. How did that happen? If you are a Rusher, you’d know them as @mr_perk, @sizzlingbanana and @thegirlfromhell. 😉 Special thanks, of course, to Rhix for being with us as well during the preparations. We missed you at the wedding!

Special thanks goes to the upperclassmen who helped us complete everything we need for the wedding despite the challenges. And, of course, many thanks to our Saber Escort, PNPA Class of 2013! Maraming, maraming, maraming salamat sa pagtulong sa amin!

Parisian Wedding

Arjay and I are super kaduper thankful, too, to the members of PNPA Class 2009 who went out of their way to attend our wedding–especially those we tapped at the last minute. Haha!

I’d also like to mention our other suppliers:

  • Jun Valbuena Photography for also serving as our photographer and videographer
  • Snaps N Inks for our photobooth and photo magnets — The guests really enjoyed having their photos taken and printed on ref magnets!
  • Dangwa for our vase fillers and backup bouquets

Wow! I love your wedding’s theme and I loved how you pulled it off without going overboard. It was classy, it was subtle (not OA), and it was perfect. I am actually a fan of Imagine Nation’s works. 🙂 Paris honeymoon naman ang next!

    1. Kim Reyes

Thanks! We actually hired Imagine Nation 5 days before the wedding. We just had to get them to shoot the big day after seeing their portfolio. 🙂

Hopefully nga we can go to Europe soon!

  7. Rose

I love the theme! Paris evokes romance talaga. And your gown is gorgeous. Plus points rin sa wedding pag masarap ang caterer.

  8. Maita Atienza

Lovely wedding! So glad I stumbled upon your blog to read about it 🙂

  9. Rae

Congratulations to both of you. Everything fell into place. I still remember when you were ranting about the suppliers during the originally planned wedding date. Caleb’s ‘arrival’ was a blessing.

I wonder how very very VERY inexpensive the gown is.

    1. Kim Reyes

True, Caleb was a blessing! We were a bit disappointed that we had to change almost all our suppliers, but the wedding turned out pretty good — even better than how we envisioned it. 🙂

You’ll be surprised at how affordable the gown is. 😉

Ang ganda, Kim! Very you lang ang peg ng wedding niyo, calm and classy. 🙂

    1. Kim Reyes

Thanks girl! Hiring coordinators was a huge help talaga since they were the ones who put everything together. Na-execute nila ang “brand” namin. Haha!
