Kelly took me by surprise today!

I knew today is going to be a special day. Why? Because Kelly woke me up and showed me this face…
“What are you up to today?” I asked her. She just smiled at me and kissed me. Very sweet girl! So, we left our room to have breakfast in the dining area. We did the usual. I placed her on her high chair then gave her her fill.
I then left her with her Tita to pay my bills. When I came back, she already took a bath and was getting dressed. Like always. By lunch time, we did the same thing: we went to the dining area and ate. She also had a few pieces of Honeydew Melon after eating a plate of Pinakbet. After her fruity dessert, she went down and crawled to the living room.
She kept going up and down the stairs so I took her in my arms and brought her back to the living room. She usually crawls elsewhere the moment I place her on the floor. But, this time, she didn’t crawl. She walked! Yes, ladies and gents! My baby girl took her first step today!
When her feet touched the floor, she didn’t go down on her knees. She stood up for a moment, took a step, took another one, and took yet another one! My sister and I both clapped in joy. So, little Kelly decided to show off more of her tricks. Most of them shocked me and gave me mini heart attacks.
Her first trick? She can go in and out of her walker without anyone’s help. “Mommy!” she called out loud. When I looked, she was already scrambling to get into her walker. When she got inside, she clapped her hands then went out! I was in shock. Note to self: Watch Kelly’s every move.

Her second trick made me want to attach a bell on my little girl- just so I’d know where she is. If I hear the bell, then she’s near by. If I don’t, then she’s probably somewhere far. Kelly has learned the art of going in and out of our house. This is alarming because I don’t want her going out of the house, to the porch, and to the garage. That’s very dangerous! She finds it amusing.
That’s all of it for today! My little girl is growing up… and getting very tricky, if I may add.
