It’s December and it’s raining! That’s unusual, really. We usually go out a lot during this time of the year to complete our Christmas shopping list and sometimes, just to enjoy the Christmas decorations in parks and malls. Unfortunately for The Princess, she is spending her first Christmas season at home. She doesn’t mind, though, as long as she has her toys, Mommy, and Daddy to play with.
Anyway. Staying at home is not so bad. Because it’s been raining non-stop for days, we haven’t gone out — giving us a lot of time for a long-due home redecoration. Daddy A recently discovered that we have a collection of electric carpentry tools at home so we decided to put all those in use. It’s actually super fun using electric saws and drillers. Haha! Bzzz.
As of this writing, we have already started redecorating our built-in closet that just looks like a big box with all our clothes in it. It isn’t space-saving, plus it’s a huge mess. So, we decided to create divisions.
After the closet, we are also going to change the color of our room from yellow (I have no idea why my Mom chose this very bright color) to apple green. We agreed that apple green is very soothing to the eyes compared to a bright yellow room. Pictures to come once the whole room is finished!
To complete the room, we’re also planning to change some of the furniture in it. The bed will stay, but we bought a new computer table and standing lamps for each side of the bed. I am also thinking (Daddy A is pushing me!) to buy a new LCD tv to save more space.
That’s a lot of work! I wonder how our room will look like after this mini-renovation?
