This month has been exciting for my photography and graphics design business, Créatif Studio. One event Kay, my business partner, and I have been looking forward to is last weekend’s Work-at-Home Expo because we were invited to share a few things about photography and photo editing to fellow freelancers who are thinking of trying that industry out.
Thank you, Manila Workshops and The WAHMderful Life, for giving us this opportunity! It was truly amazing sharing our work and our story as well as meeting new friends. We are definitely looking forward to next year’s expo!
If you didn’t make it at the Work-At-Home Expo 2014, here are a couple of photos of the products showcased at the expo:
The gourmet tuyo by Bebeng’s Kitchen was a big hit during our Sunday breakfast at my mom’s house. We paired it with the atchara I got from Bebeng’s Kitchen as well. This combination really gives you the feeling of being home!
Are you looking for the perfect giveaway this Christmas? These muffins by Bebeng’s Kitchen are it! It was unfortunate that Kay was on detox that day so she didn’t get to try these goodies. LOL!
There are lots of other sweet treats you can choose from at the expo. There’s Isabel Bakes who sells artisan cookies–yum!
These cupcakes by Love At First Bite will really get you to love ’em at first bite. I’m not a huge fan of super sweet sweets (you know what I mean?), so when I tried these cupcakes out, I really loved that the sweetness is just right.
Dessert Jars was there, too! I have been following them on Instagram and dying to try there desserts in a jar…so I was super happy to see them at the Work-at-Home Expo.
If you’re planning for your little one’s party, like I am, The Cake Lab designs and bakes cute and delicious cakes. This colorful treat is our favorite!
If I had the budget, I would have hoarded on these lovely coasters. No two designs are alike! The artist creates these coasters using magazine cutouts so each are really unique.
Looks yummy right? These are actually clay creations by Three Smitten Kittens. You can buy ready-made clay accessories from them OR you can buy clay from them then craft your own accessories.
Adorable bows, clips, and hair bands by Dainty Ashley were also showcased at the expo. I was really tempted to buy some for The Princess, but she’s not the type who wears decorative accessories. 🙁 #likemotherlikedaughter
These are just some of the booths at the Work-at-Home Expo. There are A LOT more there, which is why I’ll be preparing my wallet for next year’s expo. LOL!
Were you at the Work-at-Home Expo too? Share you experience in the comments section below! Oh, and if you attended our talk about photography and editing, feel free to leave your comments and suggestions here. 🙂
congrats Kim! Can I feature you in my blog together with 5 other mommy bloggers entrepreneurs?
It would be an honor! 🙂
I’m supposed to attend this event however.. let’s just say that that sat was the saddest day sa family ko.. Sayang, I won pa nmn the unlimited pass (from ur contest few weeks ago). Can I use it next yr? Hihi! 🙂
Aww. Whatever happened, you’ll be included in our prayers.
Hope I can join the expo next time around
I was supposed to go there but sadly, one of my girls got sick so I have to pass. Sayang. It would’ve been a nice event to attend to but of course, mommy duties come first 🙂
Congrats on this event! Maybe next year I can join 🙂
I wish I was there to listen to your talk. I always wanted to try photography!
Pag ganitong event ba sis Kim by invitation? or may signing up sa group natin? Anyhow, I like the Isabel Bakes and Desserts Jar for Yvan’s next birthday 🙂 Nice photos ♥
Hi Yvette, this is a yearly event organized by Manila Workshops & WAHMderful Life. If you want to attend, you have to buy tickets from them. This year’s entrance fee costs P100 lang yata. What’s interesting is that you get to meet other mompreneurs/WAHMs as well as attend talks by different speakers.
Congrats on your event. Wow, nice ng mga booths, good thing I wasn’t there baka na out of budget ko kakabili. 🙂
Congrats Kim! More inspiring stories to share as you continue be successful in your WAHM endeavors! And definitely more gourmet tuyo. Shaks! Namiss ko yun!
Thanks Camille! Sarap ng tuyo 😀 Padala ka dyan. No cook kaya di magrereklamo neighbors sa smell haha.
Congratulations on what I’m sure was a successful talk! I love the shots! They look amazing and tempting especially the food!
I couldn’t attend the Expo 🙁 I have an infant and my husband’s out of the country and we don’t have yaya for the little one. I’m not keen on bringing the baby to crowded spaces pa because she had fever and infection at 3 months.
But awesome post! I hope next year makasama na ko!
Aww sayang. But you did the right thing. I didn’t bring my babies with me too.
I’m really interested with the Cake Lab. Lalo na malapit na 1st birthday ni Baby.:)
