I love weekends! Not just because we get to have two days of family time, but also because of the food. Our family is not fond of going out on weekends; except if we need to do some grocery shopping or if there’s a movie we really want to see.
What exactly do we do for two days? We play master chef. I’m usually the one assigned to cook lunch since Daddy A likes my Filipino dishes. Dinner is often just a simple and light meal. Breakfast, however, is something we all look forward to. That’s because Daddy A is the one assigned to prepare breakfast – and he loves adding art to the food he serves!
Today, he turned the usual Bacon & Egg breakfast into another hotel-like breakfast. Instead of serving it with just steamed rice or garlic rice, he served it with carrot rice. He also added grapes and two slices of cucumber on the side.
Who wouldn’t look forward to weekend breakfast with this kind of presentation? Unfortunately, he didn’t have time to prepare fresh mango-banana juice. It would have been even more heavenly with a glass of that!
